MOSCOW, Jul 12 (PRIME) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture has reduced its forecast for Russia’s wheat harvest in the 2021–2022 agricultural year, or in the 2021 calendar year, to 85 million tonnes from 86 million tonnes, as seen by PRIME in the authority’s report released on Monday.

At the same time, the authority kept Russia’s wheat export forecast for the 2021–2022 agricultural year, lasting from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, at 40 million tonnes. The export estimate for the last agricultural year amounts to 38.5 million tonnes.

The Agriculture Ministry expects Russia’s grain exports at 48 million tonnes in the 2020–2021 agricultural year, including 37.5 million tonnes of wheat. The export potential of the current agricultural year is estimated at 51 million tonnes.
